Having previously been deployed to the atoll, the Squadron returned to Eniwetok for a Second Deployment in an attempt to secure a better result to meet the needs of SAC. This was my first visit to the area. Enroute, a problem with the aircraft was discovered at Hickam AFB (Honolulu), necessitating a delay enroute to make the necessary repairs. We all took the opportunity to do some sight-seeing.
